Can I live here?

(via goldendilocks)

Despite the fact that it’s over a month away, I’m starting to get excited already about seeing Into It. Over It twice this May. Evan was my major musical discovery last year; by far and away my most listened to artist (despite only properly discovering his songs in the summer), and one who unreservedly reaffirms my faith in music.

I saw him perform in August in Leeds with Koji; one of my favourite shows of last year (and I went to some AMAZING shows last year). There’s far too many gigs these days where people talk during the bands, or stand around in an awkward semi-circle, and this one was just perfect. As soon as each of the guys took to the stage everyone rushed forward, sang along and just lived it.
It made me feel alive; part of something, despite the fact that I travelled to the show alone. One of those moments where there’s nowhere else you’d rather be.

I managed to catch Evan supporting The Swellers in December, but seeing another headline show is going to be amazing - 25 minute sets don’t quite cut the mustard, plus support sets don’t always have the same buzz. I’ve been listening to Westmont NJ an embarrasing amount over the past week so I’m crossing everything that there’s a chance he’ll play it. I genuinely can’t put into words how perfect this song is.

Following a band’s tour can be something of a sobering experience; watching as the same four or five musicians toil away night after night on a series of identikit stages, pouring out their hearts and souls to thousands…

This. 8 nights, 2000+ miles travelled, so many missed friends seen…I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.
